Pronuciation poem :)

my lecturer gave us this poem during one of her lectures and i thought wanna share it out although it may sound silly:)

Here is some pronunciation,

Ration never rhymes with nation,

Say prefer but preferable,

Comfortable and vegetable.

B must not be heard in doubt,

Debt and dumb both leave it out,

In the words psychology,

Psychic and psychiatry,

You must never sound the p.

Psychiatrist you call the man

Who cures the complex, if he can.

In architect, ch is k,

In arch it is the other way.

Please remember to say iron,

So that it'll rhyme with lion,

Advertisers advertise,

Advertisements will put you wise.

Time when work is done is leisure,

Fill it up with useful pleasure.

Accidental accident,

Sound the g in ignorant.

Relative, but a relation,

Then say creature but creation.

Say the a in gas quite short,

Bought remember rhymes with thwart,

Drought must always rhyme with bout,

In daughter leave the gh out.

Wear a boot upon your foot,

Root can never rhyme with soot.

In muscle, sc is s,

In muscular, it's sk, yes!

Choir must always rhyme with wire,

That again, will rhyme with liar.

Then, remember it's address,

With an accent like possess.

G in a sign must silent be,

In signature, pronounce the g.

Please remember, say towards

Just as if it rhyme with boards,

Weight's like wait, but not like height,

Which should always rhyme with might.

Sew is just the same as so,

Tie a ribbon in a bow.

When you meet a queen you bow,

Which again must rhyme with how.

In perfect English make a start,

Learn this little rhyme by heart.

well hope you enjoy pronouncing haha

Details in the Fabric by Jason Mraz

if you're bored and got nothing to do,hoping to hear some good music why don't you try to listen to 'Details in the Fabric' by Jason Mraz. i'm currently infatuated with this song. really nice. the melody also nice. other songs from his ' We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things' album are good too. i'm putting this song on repeat in Windows Media Player memorisig this song. i want to learn to play this song too. what a nice composition. you don't always get to hear this kind of songs often.

yesterday i visited Asia Cafe in Subang which some claims to be the biggest cyber cafe in Malaysia to play dota with my friends. last friday, connexxion had a pot luck dinner, me, woei song and jin jyh went. we bouht bananas and half ripe pineapple. we don't know how to choose a good one. i ought to learn those skills from my parents haha. that later that night..around 11 , i joined the german engineering class students for futsal in One utama. costs me rm 14. but i had fun though. however, it occured to me that this sports is not for those who is on very low bugdet cause it's freaking expensive.

anyway till here then

The Non-Phenomenon

It has come to my attention that there are many people or rather non-couples out there in exclusive relationships.Yup! You herad me...You want me to run that by you again? Well it's basically two people who are dating only each other but are not going out and not each other's boyfriend or girlfriend and claim to be single!Think about it and you would probably know at least one couple.

Doesn't make sense you say? well, my thoughts exactly but upon further examination i actually understand where these couples are coming from.
well somewhat anyways..
Let's examine this.

Typical example would be a boy and a girl who for whatever reason find that they are attracted to another boy or girl. But for reasons unknown, or known to them, they are scared and hesitant about getting into a relationship proper.

So what happens is that they start 'hanging out' and when you ask them if it's a date they say - no, we're just friends. And then they have a chat which usually goes like this, " i like you, we get along great, I'm so comfortable with you, I love spending time with you...etc" followed by " BUT I'm not comfortable with the label BF or GF" because based on past experience(s), they realize that expectations will increase and the relationship is doomed after the label is given.

Then there is the other scenario. They don't even say that they like you but call you all the time in the morning and at night and spend whole days with you...but once you start to think that you could be in a relationship proper, the " I'm not ready for a relationship, it is nicer like this/ Let's enjoy this magical moment/ Why think so much about the future/ Let just see how it goes" will rear it's ugly head bu your non-relationship will still continue. Reasons for this? Well maybe they just don't want to be responsible for another person's happiness.

Confusing? Yes. Works for them? Guess so.
These non-couples also call each other terms of endearment,"baby/saying/sweetie/darling/honey/dear?"-which let's face it, isn't binding in any way and doesn't cost them anything!

They also tell everyone they're single and only sometimes when cornered do they grudgingly admit they are dating someone, but more often than not, they deny it! This is because they also claim to want to keep their options open. Open to whom I say? they are only texting or calling their non-partners ALL the time!

Whatever reasons these people have; be it protecting themselves from being hurt, taking things very slowly after learning from past relationships, not wanting to share, not wanting responsibility, they are doing it their way. It's in no way better or worse, and more often than not, jealousy will rear it's ugly head and someone will eventually want it ti be the real deal. So the end result will still be the same - make it o break it.

So to those in non-relationships with their non-bf and non-gf..have a great non-relationship! You guysare in denial and it just takes some time before you both succumb to being in a real relationship and all it has to offer. Your friends won't make fun of you when you tell them, I promise you that..because to them , you were in one already in the first place.

i'm going to a photo shoot and shoot myself lol

Last Monday as I was in my Malaysian studies class suddenly ms. Effa came in and hand over a paper to my lecturer. He then called out several names and mine was among those names. I was required to be at the Student Service Department on Wednesday which is today by 9.oo a.m. I was shocked at first and I was wondering what did I do that I need to go to the SSD? However from speculation I heard that we( those names who were called), are going to be involve in a photo shoot. I didn’t know more about the details until I attended the briefing on this morning.

A lady was briefing us about why were we being summoned and what do we need to do. Well, basically we were so called doing the college a favour where our photos will be taken around the school and these will be used for advertisement purposes, which will appear in brochures and also in the college website. What an inexpensive way that the college has used to make advertisements. However, I’m sure that other colleges are doing the same too. I once had a friend who appeared in the newspaper ‘modeling’ I would say, rather than ‘advertising’ for her college.

Classmates kept on calling me the “actor” since especially Atiqah. The photo shooting will happen on Monday afternoon, around 1.3o p.m. to 4.30p.m.,approximately three hours. Sadly, on Monday the whole JPA batch will have an open house of some sort where students will bring cookies, the girls will cook something, and the lecturer will order some heavy food for us. Looks like I’m going to miss all the fun.

This week nothing else happened that would really caught my or anyone else attention. And because of that , I as the class rep of Architecture 2 declared to my classmates that to spice our life in college up, we will have a ‘same dress code’ day once a week. And as I expected everyone were enthusiastic about it. We were debating on what colour to wear next Wednesday. In the end, after much debate, it was decided that everyone will wear pink to college that day. The guys were somehow reluctant but they said they will try their best to obtain a pink shirt to wear. I’ve explained to the class that this might be the best chance for everyone to start collecting every colour they can get hold off in this world haha. So their wardrobe will be as colourful as a rainbow. Anyway, I myself too am looking forward to it. I will take a class picture and show how pinky we can be.

Besides that, I did suggested that we should have a class outing and that suggestion are still in discussion. I really hoped I can make an interesting outing one day. Perhaps to Genting? Too far…hmm maybe just to Sunway pyramid ice skating or the nearest is to One Utama hag out and watch a movie , stuff like that.

Are they any stuff that I can do to make mine and my fellow classmates’ college life if not already mundane but humdrum more fascinating? Any suggestion please do share some with me ya? I guess till here then.

a hari raya special report.

On raya I’ve invited y friends over to my house for a small gathering. I recalled inviting almost more than 25 people, however only 18 turned up. those who can’t come mostly were those from form six. They claimed they have an important exam the following week, hence they have to study hard. Jocelyn went Cameron, some can’t attend because they weren’t in Ipoh.

Anyway I think it’s quite a success although I was being a bad host haha. Everyone stated to flood my house around one and we sat down and chatted while waiting for the rest to come. After that everyone were treated a scrumptious feast. My mom prepared rendang tuk, kuah kacang, rendang ayam, ketupat, nasi impit, sayur lodeh and two type of vegetarian noodles(specially for puventhan, he was a vegetarian that day). I’ve noticed that most of my friends grabbed the noodles first and did not touch the delicious raya delicacies, maybe they did not know how to eat and I assume they rarely have the chance to eat those kind of food.

After that, we sat down on the floor and played some games. At first, I thought of having a small chat, something like sharing, however due to the heavy boredom that we all felt , we all decided to play some games. First we played this game I learned from the connexxion, Spoons. The game was called Spoons because it uses spoons to play and a deck of cards. However , I used chopsticks to play so I guess I can say that we played “ Chopsticks” that day. Again, I sensed the boredom from each and every of my friend and I changed the game. This time we played the game I learned from Nicholas and their gang during the lantern festivals gathering. I don’t know what that game called but a small group are required to hold hands which were entangled at first. Then, they were required to form a circle without taking up their hands. Do you get it? If you don’t it’s okay for I have pictures that will make you understand.

After that it’s time for us to rest. We were sweaty and exhausted after playing such ‘tricky’ game. It’s the time for performance haha. Those who plays the guitar played some songs for us to hear. They were very good. Each and everyone were unique in their very own way. We relaxed for a while then my friends decided to go ta kei. So they headed off to Imax first because I need to stay home because some of my friends haven’t go back yet. In the end, after everyone went back I joined my friends in Imax for a game or two. Around 7 p.m. we departed and waved each other goodbye. It was a fun outing, to meet my schoolmates again. However , kinda sad because I was not able to meet up with a lot of them that didn’t turn up.

On Friday, I watched Eagle Eye with my family. This movie is a must to watch. Imagine a super computer controlling the world. A.I. finally surpasses human beings and that is when doom’s day shall happen. Apart from those two events my holiday was just normal, playing basketball occasionally and stuck at home playing games. It was a useless act to bring back my notes and homework since I didn’t touch them at all.

everyone were digging up food hungrily..RAWR!

look how hungry they were haha

everyone were enjoying their meals...do you notice that what was on the plate were all noodles?? lol

benjamin the guitar master..:)

oh my, what were they trying to do? chien young was grinning already

the three musketeers...david, zach and foo

next, it;s time for games. we played the 'chopsticks'. notice the chopsticks?

david and clement got too excited at ended up arguing :)

me trying to explain the game...AGAIN.

explaining going on.....aik khuan sure knows when someone was going to take his picture...he will react very fast by putting his thumb up lol

"now, let's proceed to the next game",i said. standing tall above the rest.

at first they made a circle with hands entangled...

and at last the circle flourishes magically...

while they were playing, these bunch of people were laughing at them :)

i was busy taking pictures....me and vemal

me and kah nyan

muresh, me , philemon and jiang may

finally, the next group's turn to play...

hands were all entangled..

looks like we were having fun right? jiang may was the leader of the group telling us what to do. however our group were unable to form the circle. we lost to the other group haha.

below are some group photo i took :)

sorry for the bad quality ya. i don't know why the pictures turned up like that. thanks for those who came to my house and hope to see the rest next time!!!!
till here then.
selamat hari raya:)
